An international order can involve charges imposed by the destination country as well as the retailer’s purchase amount. Luxeline’s shipping policy states that import duties, taxes or customs charges may apply and are not included unless checkout expressly says otherwise. Check the information relevant to your destination before treating a basket total as the complete landed cost.

Identify which charge you mean

Separate the hair price, shipping information, payment-provider charges and possible destination charges. They are not interchangeable. A statement about shipping does not automatically cover customs costs. Write the exact question you need answered so you can direct it to the party with the relevant information, rather than asking for one blanket assurance about all international costs.

Use the actual destination

Import rules depend on the place receiving the goods and the relevant circumstances. Do not apply information written for another country to your order. Consult the destination’s official customs or tax information where needed, using the actual goods and order details. This guide does not provide tariff rates, thresholds, classifications or a declaration of what you personally owe.

Read the checkout wording

Check whether the checkout expressly describes any included duties or taxes for the order. If it does not, retain the policy’s distinction rather than assuming inclusion. If a line is unclear, ask Luxeline what that line covers. Keep the response with the transaction record so later questions refer to the same order and wording.

Keep payment conversion separate

The Luxeline FAQ explains that payments are processed in AUD while other currency displays are estimates. A conversion difference shown by your provider is not the same as an import charge. Ask your provider about its own rate and fees. Separating these sources prevents a rough total from hiding which amount is uncertain and who can clarify it.

Check notices through official routes

If you receive a notice asking for payment in connection with the parcel, verify it through the relevant carrier or authority’s official contact route before acting. Use the order and tracking context to understand what it concerns. Do not treat any unexpected message as valid merely because you recently bought something online, and do not publish personal tracking or payment information in a public post.

Budget only from confirmed information

Keep an estimate labelled as an estimate and record the source and date. If a potential charge materially changes your decision, resolve the question before ordering where possible. The retailer cannot be assumed to control every destination-country process. Your useful next step is to identify the unresolved component, obtain current authoritative information and decide whether the purchase remains appropriate for your budget.

Keep an estimate usable

A planning note can have separate lines for the accepted product total, any checkout shipping amount and unresolved destination charges. Put the authority or provider responsible for each unknown beside it. This is more useful than adding an arbitrary percentage and describing the result as the full cost, particularly when the applicable rules have not been checked.
