A weight expressed in ounces and a weight expressed in grams can describe the same mass. They do not tell you how many pieces a pack contains.
Use a labelled conversion
For ordinary weight comparison, one avoirdupois ounce is approximately 28.35 grams. A 100 gram pack is therefore about 3.53 ounces. Keep the word approximately with rounded results. Do not confuse weight ounces with fluid ounces used for volume on some liquid products.
Read the sale unit too
Write the product name, pack weight and piece count in different columns. Two packs with the same mass can have different constructions. Use the stylist’s recommendation for the actual installation rather than assuming an ounce conversion determines the number of packs to buy.
