L’Oréal’s dry-shampoo guidance treats it as a between-wash product and discusses removing residue during normal cleansing. It is not the same process as washing with water and shampoo.
Check the exact item and proposed use
For purchased hair, ask whether a specific dry formula is suitable at all and where it may be applied. Instructions for a natural scalp do not automatically apply to a wig base, lace or extension attachments. Avoid extending the interval between care steps simply because the item looks refreshed.
A hypothetical decision worksheet
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Routine | Keep the supplier’s confirmed cleaning method and timing questions separate from an optional refresh product. |
| Formula | Record the actual dry product and the area where use is proposed. |
| Observation | If residue appears, record it and seek item-specific advice instead of repeatedly adding more products. |
For a hypothetical trip, a shopper considers a dry product to change the appearance between normal care steps. That proposal does not automatically replace the cleaning plan or establish that the formula is compatible with the wig. Discuss the actual use before packing it. Keep natural-scalp marketing distinct from instructions for hair, lace and installed attachment areas.
Before acting
Keep the approved washing method and any optional refresh product in separate lines of the care record. If there is unexpected residue, record the formula and where it was used before asking for advice rather than layering additional products over it.
