A colour decision can involve more than choosing light or dark. You may prefer one overall colour impression or a visible relationship between different areas of colour. Use this distinction to clarify a brief, then compare the actual product descriptions and images. Do not assume a shade name alone specifies where every colour will appear.
Compare the actual product presentation
The following observations use the current product portraits checked on 6 November 2026. They describe what is pictured, not independently measured supplied-goods specifications.

| Shown product | Observation from its current portrait | Decision this helps with |
|---|---|---|
| Black Straight | A predominantly dark appearance runs from the part through the shown lengths. | A reference for an overall consistent dark-colour impression. |
| Blonde Straight | Darker colour is visible at the top despite the simple Blonde name. | A reminder that the label alone does not specify colour placement. |
| Ombré Blonde Straight | A brown upper area gives way to golden blonde lower lengths in the portrait. | A reference for a visibly changing colour arrangement. |
A worked selection can therefore say: I want the transition shown in the Ombré Blonde portrait, rather than merely I want blonde. If you prefer the lighter impression in the Blonde Straight portrait, identify that exact picture and ask about the upper colour area. This is a concrete image-led brief. It does not claim that every option called solid or dimensional follows one technical definition, nor that a portrait fixes an exact transition position on every length.
Describe the distribution you prefer
Look at your reference and identify whether the appeal is a broadly uniform colour, a root contrast, lighter areas or a blend through the lengths. Use those observations as a communication tool rather than a technical definition of the product. A photo can show several effects at once, so point to the feature that is essential to your choice.
Read actual option names
Some Luxeline configurable products list shade names such as Espresso Chocolate Blend, Chestnut Beige Blend or Caramel Platinum Ombre alongside other colours. These labels help identify the options, but they do not substitute for a full visual or placement specification. Ask for the relevant product information if a particular transition, root area or distribution matters to the finished look.
Choose the right comparison
Compare options within the same product where possible. A different format, texture or length may make the colour appear differently in the available images. If you use two products as references, state that clearly. Do not assume that selecting similarly named shades in a wig and extensions establishes an exact match between the two.
Think about the intended arrangement
Explain whether the hair will be worn loose, parted differently or finished by a stylist. Ask how the visible colour relationship can be assessed for that plan. Avoid assigning a guaranteed appearance to every arrangement from one image. The useful outcome is an informed preference and a clear product choice, not a universal rule that one colour layout is better.
Check any proposed adjustment
If the desired effect is not clearly offered, do not assume it can be created after purchase without further advice. Check product-specific guidance before toning or colouring and discuss the plan with a qualified stylist. If a custom colour request is available, keep the request separate from accepted confirmation and resolve any ordering implications before paying.
Write a precise selection note
Save the product, exact shade label and the feature you expect based on the confirmed information. Keep the reference separate from the specification so a future enquiry does not treat inspiration as a promise. Inspect the received item before use or alteration, and use the official support route for a concern. Review the returns policy before making a preference-driven purchase. For a multi-option order, record the chosen shade separately on every item; a shared colour family does not establish identical placement.
