Professional colour charts distinguish depth from tonal information. L’Oréal’s numbering guidance uses a level scale for depth; this is not the same as naming a warm or cool colour impression.

Make the comparison useful

When enquiring about a Luxeline shade, provide the actual option label and reference rather than translating it into another manufacturer’s number. Different systems should not be assumed identical. Explain whether you want a lighter or darker appearance, a different tone, or both.

Your next step

A useful note has separate fields for current product, preferred lightness and preferred colour character. Ask which listed option is supported by the available evidence. The chart vocabulary helps the conversation but does not independently measure a product photograph.

Explore current wig options or ask Luxeline about the selected item.

Read the two parts separately

In L’Oréal Professionnel’s numbering system, the number before the decimal describes depth and the following numbers describe tonal reflects. This is that manufacturer’s system, not a code to apply automatically to Luxeline’s shade names.
